Extension and strengthening of facilities of Regional Research centre project

The Extension and Strengthening of Facilities of Regional Research Centers project aims to modernize laboratory and research infrastructure of the Soil Resource Development Institute (SRDI) across six regional locations. The initiative focuses on upgrading existing facilities and enhancing research capacity, with special emphasis on the establishment of research centers and sub-centers dedicated to problematic soil management.

The project is designed to strengthen SRDI’s research capabilities in soil health, land productivity, and sustainable agricultural practices. Upon completion, the upgraded research centers and sub-centers will be transferred to the revenue budget sector, ensuring long-term operation and continuity of research activities under regular government funding.

Description of Actual Services Provided

• Collection and review of project documents, including:

  • Existing architectural drawings and cost estimates of buildings

  • Initial Development Project Proposal (DPP) documents

• Preparation of detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

• Preparation of the Development Project Proposal (DPP) in compliance with government formats

• Preparation of bidding documents for procurement and implementation
