Preparation of Prefeasibility Study for the Development Project of Naogaon University

 Naogaon University was established through Act No. 29 of 2023, following approval by His Excellency the President and the Parliament of Bangladesh on February 7, 2023. The university formally began its administrative operations with the appointment of its first Vice-Chancellor on October 7, 2024. To support the development of the university, approximately 100.00 acres of land have been selected and approved for acquisition in Shaluka, Chack Brim, and Kumuria Mauzas under Sadar Upazila, Naogaon. The master plan aims to transform the university into a center for knowledge, science, technology, and research over the next 50 years, supporting more than 10,000 students across 60+ departments. In line with sustainable development goals, over 50% of the 100-acre campus will be preserved as open green and smart spaces, with provision for water bodies such as ponds and lakes. Key infrastructure to be developed includes academic and administrative buildings, male and female halls, institutes, research fields, a Teachers-Student Centre (TSC), libraries, auditoriums, residential facilities for teachers, officers, and students, and essential amenities like a hospital, mosque, temple, stadium, and environmental management systems. A Detailed Project Proposal (DPP) and feasibility study are being initiated to guide this long-term development.
